Full Description:
Welbore Ellis to the Lords of the Treasury. Whitehall. Having laid before the king the petition of Thomas Charles Williams on behalf of the army, under Brigadier-General [Benedict] Arnold, praying for the nett proceeds of sales of prizes and goods taken by them on the expedition as awarded in the Court of Vice Admiralty at New York. It is directed that one-eighth part be given to Arnold for his services and the remainder divided among the officers and soldiers.
