Full Description:
Daniel Coxe, for the Board of Directors of Associated Loyalists to Lieutenant Colonel Oliver De Lancey. New York. Discusses Captain Clayton Tilton being taken prisoner and being confined in close jail in Monmouth County. It is believed he will be sacraficed due to him rendering himself particularly obnoxious by his loyalty and activity, so an attempt will be made to force the jail and bring off General Foreman. Asks that the Commander-in-Chief be informed and if he agrees with the expedition, for arms and provisions to be sent.
