Full Description:
Knox and Morris to [Dalrymple and Elliot]. Elizabethtown. The purchase of provisions in America by British Commissioners cannot be permitted. Danger of cross accidents may be provided against by laying up sufficeint magazines in due season. The proposition that prisoners be maintained as formerly appears too indefinate for a direct positive answer. They therefore request an explanation as to the articles of ration and propose that Commissioners duly authorised to settle past accounts meet at some place (on 1 June next).
