Full Description:
Clinton to Dalrymple and Elliot. New York. Two documents. The first discusses how 'Clinton cannot consent to supply his troops in the enemy's power with provisions in any other way than the mode proposed to them on the 13th', unless the enemy absolutely and seriously threaten to decline feeding them altogether. The second is in answer to letters of the 15th and 17th wherein he endeavours to impress with his reasons for wishing Dalrymple and Elliot to insist in the firmest language to the enemy's abiding by the 5th Article of Lord Cornwallis's Capitulation'.
