Full Description:
Michael Lownsbury to Robertson. Memorial. That the petitioner having been most fully plundered, threatened and abused by the Rebels found it absolutely necessary to fly to avoid their fury from North Castle. That his five sons were the first that fled with their uncle, and were in the Battle of Long Island. Two died in service, the other three assisted in the defence of the Block House. Age and sickness have disabled him for work and he is quite destitute. Certified by Peter Huggeford, Joshua Pell and Jonathan Fowler. Thomas Murray grants rations, 27 April.
