Full Description:
Hugh MacKenzie to Robertson. New York. Petition. Having been a tenant of Sir John Johnson's in Ulster County (chose not to flee with him to Canada) when the Rebels drove them off, was treated with great kindness by Cadwalader Colden. Sets out his sufferings on account of his loyalty and praying that his wife and children may have some place to live in and be allowed rations. With a certificate signed by J Chew, Secretary for Indian Affairs.
