Full Description:
Drummond to Clinton. New York. Cannot investigae the late Commissary General's accounts in full as most of the original papers are in England. Gives a list and thinks they had better be setted there. If so will commence examining those of the present Commissary General. Refers him to previous remarks on this subject and suggests improvements in the establishments. Believes expenditure might be lessened by a stoppage for rations of provisions issued from the King's stores to the staff of the army &c.
