Full Description:
Earl of Shelburne to General Haldimand. Whitehall. Most Secret. Discussion including an armament preparing at Brest for America, the preservation of Canada being so important that Carleton has the King's directions to go there if he should find it necessary, and the keeping of extra vigilance against an attack along the American coast. The treatment of Indians, the return of all American prisoners held in Great Britain and Ireland, Haldimand's Proclamation which had been published, and his going to England. Encloses a copy of the address of the House of Commons to the King, with the King's answers.
