Full Description:
Board of General Officers. Headquarters, South Carolina. Minutes of a meeting signed by General Leslie, Gould etc.. with regard to the sending of 2,000 men to Jamaica, but that they are of the unanimous opinion that the taking of more that 1,000 men from Charleston would weaken its defences. Asking that His Excellency if it is necessary to send such a considerable corps from the Southern District. Second document, comments on the Board's reading and taking into consideration letters and papers enclosed, which mention amongst other things, the execution of Joshua Huddy, Aaron White's affidavit, Captain Lippencott's report, the taking of a barge, and a return of prisoners.
