Full Description:
Board of General Officers. Headquarters, New York. Minutes of he meeting with regard to letters from Germain, Welbore, Ellis and Leslie. Discussion on questions relative to the detachment to be sent to Jamaica. Resolved that the Commander-in-Chief send an express vessel to Charleston with orders to General Leslie to send only 1,200 men. If he fears that any of his posts may be endangered to send 2,000 men, and that also a battalion will be immediately sent to him from this place.
