Full Description:
John Tailiou to Joshua Loring. Paragraph of a letter. Finds that his permission to remain at Lancaster [Pennsylvania] to supply the [German and British] prisoners with stores and necessaries has not yet arrived. General [Benjamin] Lincoln objects to his stay and desires him to apply to Washington immediately. Hopes the permit will soon be sent otherwise he must return without fulfilling his mission.
