Governor William Franklin, New York to Carleton. Suggesting that the trial of Lieutenant Lippincott be postponed so that His Excellency can examine the case. Desiring him to send (to Clinton) the papers from the Board of Associated Loyalists, as they will show him the 'importance of the affair'.
