Full Description:
Carleton to Leslie. A Secret letter from New York stating that a day or two after receipt, may see a fleet of ships off Charleston for the evacuation of Savannah and St Augustine of troops and stores but also of Loyalists wishing to leave, and no destruction to take place. Those that remain should incur no harm in any form. Possible evacuation of Charleston envisaged.
