Full Description:
Major General Nathaniel Greene to Lieutenant General Leslie. Headquarters. Received his letter of the '23rd'. Has had no orders from Congress concerning the cessation of hostilities. If a treaty is on foot he will undoubtedly receive instructions, but until then he does not think himself at liberty to agree to cessation of hostilities.
