Major James Gordon to General Sir Guy Carleton. Lancaster. Informs Carleton that Captain Asgill of the Brigade of Guards has been made prisoner, is expected to be escorted tomorow to Philadelphia and explains the circumstances of his arrest [drawn by lot on Washington's orders to be executed as revenge for Captain Huddy's death].
