New York Island, Long Island, and Staten Island. New York. Sketch of the plan adopted by Sir Henry Clinton for securing the peace, interest and trade of the inhabitants in the three islands. Establishment of the police; landed estates of the rebels parcelled out amongst needy refugees under certain restrictions, and granted during pleasure. Some property set aside for use of the military and public departments. Arrangements for trade of the garrison. Signed by Andrew Elliot.
