Full Description:
Benjamin Harrison to General Sir Guy Carleton. Virginia. The owners of the sloop 'William and John' have complained to him that this vessel was taken, with her cargo, by five men whom they suspect belong to the crew of the flag brig 'Maria.' Encloses depositions which verify these suspicions. Desires that this matter be investigated, the vessel sought after and returned with cargo, and the men who captured them punished, so as to prevent similar offences in the future.
