Full Description:
Colonel Lentz, Hesse Hanau Troops to Carleton (commanding 'His majesty's forces which are in the Colonies lying in the Atlantic Ocean from Nova Scotia to West Florida'). Bedford, Long Island. Being in want of money for paying subsistence to the troops under his command and applying to His Excellency for granting him a warrant for the £400 sterling to be charged on account of subsistence due to the said troops, from 6 June to 31 July 1782. This will then enable him to provide them with the necessary subsistence.
