Full Description:
William Smith and J T Kempe. New York. Discussion with regard to Richard Lippincott having been charged with the murder of Joshua Huddy. A court martial was constituted to try and judge the fact but Lippincot alledged that he is not subject to martial law. It is thereupon referred by the Commander-in-Chief to the Honourable William Smith, Chief Justice of this province, and to John Tabor Kempe, Attorney General, to consider and report.
