Full Description:
William Corlies to Governor William Franklin (of the Province of New Jersey and President of the Board of Associated Loyalists), New York. Memorial. That Timothy Scoby, an Associated Loyalist taken prisoner by the rebels on Sandy Hook, and also William Herbert taken on the beach at High Lands, Sandy Hook, have been tried for their loyalty and atttachments to their sovereign by a rebel court held at Freehold in the county of Monmouth. They have been sentenced to death and are to be executed on 4 July next. Entreats that steps be taken for the preservation of their lives. With affidavits by William Maddock and Nathan Wardell, 11 June.
