Full Description:
[Carleton] to [Governor William Browne of Bermuda]. Headquarters, New York. Received a letter addressed for Clinton. Flattered that Browne's apprehensions are ill-founded and that the force in the Bahamas has not been pointed against him. Wishes to lend every necessary assistance and in order to form a safe judgement, wishes a detailed account had been sent in writing of what adequate aids were required.
