Full Description:
Governor William Franklin to Carleton. New York. On behalf of the Board of Associated Loyalists. Has received the enclosed memorial respecting two Loyalists who have been taken prisoner by the rebels. They have been tried for high treason against the State of New Jersey and sentenced to death. Is assured there is nothing against them but their loyalty. Being unable to assist them, submits the whole affair for Carleton's consideration and decision.
