Full Description:
Northrup Marple to Carleton. New York. Petition. Discusses his services as a guide to the British, his imprisonment, how he was loaded with irons by the Americans, his escape and further services. Has received no payment. His wife and children have been turned out of their house and sent to this city. Asks some provision for himself and them. Accompanied by a certificate from Governor Franklin, with notes ordering an allowance of £80 per annum.
