Full Description:
Leslie to Carleton. Charleston. Number 2. Honoured to receive dispatches. Informed Brigadier-General Clarke that every preparation had been made at Savannah against their arrival. Encloses memorials and remonstrances which he has received from here, Savannah and St Augustine. Is happy to consider the relief which the unfortunate Loyalists of Georgia my obtain. That part of the fleet which returns to New York will sail without delay, and the vessels which proceed to St Augustine shall be watered immediately on their return hither and held in readiness for your orders. Both armies continue here in the same state.
