Isaac Vander Poel [formerly of the County of Albany], now in New York to Robertson. A Memorial. Refers to a previous petition of last February. The smallness of the allowance [half a dollar a day] was partly compensated by refugees being able to cut wood. However, he is in deep distress and begs that he be put on such a footing as may keep him from ruin.
