Full Description:
Governor Sir James Wright, Tybee, Georgia to Carleton. Received his letter of appointment of 24 May. Informs that Carleton is not fully aware of the local situation and regrets his refusal to comply with his orders. The local situation among King's subjects is distressful and miserable, with considerable loss of property and possissions. Believes Carleton has no idea of this. Seeks immediate support if the situation is to be saved.
