Full Description:
Dr Hugh Alexander Kennedy, General Hospital, Three Rivers to [Carleton]. Congratulating him on his safe arrival at New York. 'After five years of oppressive servitude, during which time he has experienced every species of asperity and unprovoked neglect, flatters himself that his release cannot be far off. He is certain that His Excellency will restore the colonies and secure peace'. Believes that Haldimand is against him and as example cites that his two sons, aged 13 and 11, had been proposed as volunteers by Major-General Clark in October 1781, but Haldimand erased their names and gave the commissions to two younger boys and a volunteership to one of the same age.
