Full Description:
Carleton to Brigadier-General John Campbell. Received previous letters and thanks for descriptions of Nova Scotia and Penobscot. Discusses the defence of Penobscot, the party sent to Spanish River, and the public accounts. Morden's letter, bat and forage money to all officers, and a request of military assistance from the Governor of Nova Scotia. Postscript, has thought of lodging an additional number of troops at Halifax, and given directions to the Commissary-General to make preparations for that purpose.
