Full Description:
Three documents relating to warrant number 48 [see item no 5222]. With regard to the cost and charges of purchase and repair to the sloop 'Dove' (formerly the 'William and John'). To pay Sneden and Dixon the sum of £136 5s sterling, to reimburse them £233 11s 6d, New York currency. The sloop was cut out of the Chesapeake by some men from the 'Maria' flag of truce so that it may be restored to the owners in Virginia.
