Earl Cornwallis to Carleton. Calford. Introduces Captain Cameron of the 43rd Regiment, who remarkably distinguished himself in defending the redoubt at Yorktown and who has had the mortification to see a junior officer preferred to the majority of that regiment, although he was ready to purchase at the regulation price. Hopes when a suitable opportunity arrives he may not be passed unnoticed.
