Full Description:
Inspector Roll of eight horses bought for the American Legion prior to the orders from the Commander-in-Chief forbidding purchasing of horses for the cavalry, will appear by the recruited horses on the half monthly state of 1 June 1782. Listing under, by whom inspected, for what troop purchased, colour, size, age, price in guineas, total number and amount in dollar. Signed by Captain Nathan Frink and Major Thomas Menzies. Appeared before and signed by Colonel Oliver De Lancey, and approved by General Samuel Birch on 19 July 1782.
