Full Description:
Rear Admiral Robert Digby to Carleton. New York. 'As I understand the Refugees on Lloyd's Neck, [New York] are exceedingly alarmed at the withdrawing part of the force from the Sound, I should therefore be glad to know from Your Excellency whether you intend they should keep that post, as it will be necessary in that case to send something there immediately. There is to be a galley ready but she has so few men that without 20 soldiers she is not fit to go. If you think it right they should remain there, I will order a frigate though she is wanted here'.
