Full Description:
De Lancey to Colonel Innes. Lieutenant-Colonel Ellegood having represented to the Commander-in-Chief the necessity of his being furnished with the sum of £300 sterling in order to enable him to go to England to solicit for the payment of the money he asserts to be due to him on account of his military commission, received from Lord Dunmore. His Excellency has been pleased to direct that you pay Ellegood the sum, which is to close all his claims with the Commander-in-Chief. Any further transactions being entirely referred to the Treasury.
