Full Description:
Adjutant-General J. Barry. New York. Certifying that having looked over the abstracts of warants granted by Lieutenant-Colonel Balfour, as Commander of Charleston, he does not find that one has been granted to Mrs Whitley on account of the loss of her husband. Ensign Whitley was killed in action near Camden in South Carolina on 16 August 1780.
