[Carleton] to Leslie. Headquarters, New York. Number 5. Acknowledges receipt of previous letters. Discusses Major Wemyss who sailed in on the 'Duc De Chartres', the expectation of shipping from Europe or the West Indies, and the evacuation of Savannah and Charleston. The exchange of prisoners of war, a supply of rum and medicines, and the French fleet being seen off Cape Ann on the '7th'.
