Full Description:
James Clarke to Delancey. In reply to Delancey's letter of the same day, reporting that he has been unsucessful in locating the records of the 'Newport' which were in the possession of Mr Thurston. The only information he has is that they were put on board the same transport with General Prescott's baggage at Rhode Island and damaged by the ship running onto the rocks in Hell Gate.
