Full Description:
Wiliam Wanton to Major George Beckwith. 47 Smith Street. Stating that there are no papers in his possession belonging to the Rhode Island colony with the exception of their laws with a copy of the Charter, and a small box containing the police proceedings under his late brother Colonel Joseph Wanton as superintendent. He has reason to believe that the chest or records are, or have lately been, deposited in the building called Exchange.
