Full Description:
[Carleton] to Haldimand. New York. Enclosing a return of the Hesse-Hanau and Brunswick troops now embarked for Quebec. Colonel Lentz, Hesse-Hanau, and Lieutenant Colonel de Mengen, Brunswick, have been paid on account of bat and forage for the officers under their command and are to account to Haldimand for the money. Expresses his wish that the Hessian regiment of Old Losberg be returned from Canada to New York as soon as possible to satisfy the desire of the Landgrave of Hesse that the Hessian troops should, as far as possible, act together.
