Full Description:
Carleton to Haldimand. Headquarters New York. Refers to a claim by a Doctor Smith for 200 guineas for services previous to 1781. Smith now seeking 120 guineas for the present dispatch; Carleton has directed payment of 30 guineas. Asks that in future dispatches Haldimand states whether the bearers have a right to claim for money and specifically how much.
