Full Description:
Haldimand to Carleton. Quebec. Encloses extract of letter from Riedesel aboard the 'Huzar' frigate. On intelligence of the French fleet being upon the coast and belived to have put into Boston. Has requested Sir Andrew Snape Hamond and Brigadier-General Campbell to forward the clothing etc, if practicable so late in the season and if not asks that orders be given for them to be sent as early as possible in the spring. Makes further reference to the Brunswick troops. Asks that Lieutenant- Colonel Carleton be confirmed in orders as soon as possible.
