Full Description:
Michael Houseal and Richard Ness to Brigadier-General Arnold. New York. Send the memorial given to General Marsh to be forwarded to New York respecting their desire to recruit their reduced quotas of men; sent a similar one to Major Menzies some time ago for the same purpose but he refused to forward it. Believe Carleton would have complied with their request but Marsh has also refused to send their memorial. Give reasons for Menzies's conduct towards them, and particulars regarding their corps. Post script that they are on half-pay with no allowance for quarters, provision, fuel etc.
