Full Description:
Captain William Spry to Carleton. Halifax. Hopes Carleton will not disapprove of his declining to take the leave granted him to go to England until a more favourable opportunity arises. As there is no subaltern engineer here and the department, including out-posts, is extensive, requests him to order Lieutenant Fyers to his assistance as soon as Captain Morse can spare him from New York.
