Full Description:
Carleton to William Deane Poyntz, Paymaster-General. New York. Number 135. Warrant to pay James Amoss the sum of £220 11s 6d, sterling. Being his pay as Commissary of Sick and Wounded Prisoners at Pensacola, from 5 June 1781 to 12 May 1782 inclusive. 342 days at ten shillings per diem, and for sundry disbursements in his department between 16 August 1781 and 12 May 1782, as per the annexed account.
