Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 68. Warrant to pay Lieutenant Samuel D'Visme, acting paymaster to a detachment of His Majesty's 3rd battalion, 16th Regiment of Foot, the sum of £234 6s 10d sterling. Being subsistence for four companies of the said Battalion from 25 August to 24 October 1782 inclusive, as per the annexed account. From which the sum of £80 1s is to be detained for 7,685 rations of provisions issued from 25 June to 24 August 1782, both days included, as per the annexed receipt.
