Full Description:
Major-General Robert Patterson to Carleton. Halifax. Number 2. Gave all information regarding their situation here in his letter of 'the 25th instant'. Lieutenant Rousselet is sent for clothing belonging to the British recruits lately arrived. Desires His Excellency to consider the engineer's report that unless a subaltern in his department, and about 30 artificers are sent here he cannot put the troops under cover before hard weather sets in. Proposes to visit some of the advanced posts and will report thereon.
