Full Description:
Governor Archibald Campbell to Carleton. Jamaica. Two letters thought of such importance are sent to New York by a number of military letters from the Havana to Cape Francis lately intercepted, which have great reason to believe that the enemy intend an attack upon the island. 'It will be early after the hurricane season is over', in which case he looks to His Excellency for such reinforcements as shall deem sufficeint for repelling their efforts. Also mentions numbers of sick, and the successful enterprise to dislodge the Spaniards from the Black River.
