Full Description:
Captain Edward Fage to Carleton. London. Major MacKenzie has informed that your Excellency was pleased in consequence of the letter addressed on the subject of Fage's exchange to direct commands to the Commissary-General of Prisoners thereupon. Fage now considers it his duty to lay before Carleton the result of an application of General Conway's to Dr Franklin, which he hopes will meet with approbation, that such an American officer as may be prisoner in New York and of equal rank to himself, will be required in exchange for him.
