Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 69. Warrant to pay Captain David Barclay, paymaster to a detachment of 76th Regiment of Foot, commanded by Lieutenant-Colonel Commandant John McDonnell, the sum of £310 13s 8d sterling. Being subsistence for the said regiment from 24 February to 24 October 1782 inclusive, as per the annexed account. From which the sum of £102 2s. 3d. sterling is to be detained for 9803 rations of provisions issued between 25 December 1781 and 24 August 1782, plus stoppages.
