Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 155. Warrant to pay Captain John Cochran, Commandant of His Majesty's fortress called 'William and Mary' within the province of New Hampshire, the sum of £46 sterling. Being 92 days pay from 1 July to 30 September 1782 inclusive at 10s per diem. The same being paid by order of the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury, as signified in a letter from General Gage to Governor Wentworth of New Hampshire, dated Boston 17 April 1775.
