Full Description:
Carleton to General Campbell, Jamaica. New York. Is sending the bearer, John Champion, with instructions to procure rum for the troops; is authorised to draw bills to £30,000 but to purchase none without Campbell's knowledge and approval. The rum is to be shipped on the transports at Jamaica and forwarded to New York as soon as possible.
